LockNClimb, LLC was founded in 2011 by Jeff Green in Independence, Kansas, when a tradesman in his construction company fell off a ladder and was seriously injured. Jeff began brainstorming how to make ladders safer and more ergonomic and began creating ladder supports for the telecommunications industry. In an airline tradeshow in Denver, a MRO shop supervisor and safety director with a major commercial airline contracted the design of a special ladder technicians could use to service a difficult to reach section of a Boeing jet. Jeff worked with skilled mechanical tradesmen in his shop to produce the ladder that solved the problem. It basically revolutionized the way maintenance technicians could more safely and efficiently service sensitive and costly aircraft engines, landing gear, and exterior service ports. The airline then presented another problem and then another. LockNClimb had the tools and techniques to create more and more unique ergonomic safety ladders to service Boeing, Airbus, Embraer and other commerical and corporate jets for most all of the world's major airlines.
The worldwide Covid outbreak in 2019 greatly curtailed airline traffic and sales fell off. But Jeff noticed big trucks kept running to bring food and supplies to keep the nation going. He redesigned a ladder used to service the landing gear of a big jet so mechanics could service Class 8 truck engines and cab exteriors rather than stand on slippery tires or struts that caused many accidents and injuries. These ladders had slip-resistant platforms, safety handrails and extra wide comfort treads. Prototypes were brought into engine shops so mechanics could try them and suggest features they wanted. Jeff listened and soon had an entire line of ergonomic safety ladders for the trucking industry that worked on all types of trucks, buses and heavy equipment.
Today, LockNClimb has almost 200 different SKUs with dozens of national and international patents on its revolutionary ladders and stands used by major transportant companies. The new line of helicopter maintenance products shown on this website have been accepted by technicians and are being used to more safely and efficiently service rotocraft of all types. LockNClimb ladders are 100% made in the USA one at a time by skilled craftsmen from industrial quality 6061-grade aluminum and welded steel. They have been engineered and tested to meet all applicable OSHA and ANSI standards. Our repair rate is less than 1/10th of 1% after 5 years of continuous daily service in the demanding MRO environment. And they have been proven to prevent cosly accidents and injuries, thus benefiting the maintenance techinicians, the MRO shop and the company bottom line. A win-win-win.
Please feel free to contact us with any special needs you might have in helicopter maintenance and we will do our best to provide unparalled products and service. Our ladders are not the cheapest, but we think they are the best engineered, the easiest to use and the most durable. We invite your comments.
